Portrait of Bad Nation

Bad Nation has been around since 1998 and was originally named Sungmanitu Ska in the late 80's to mid 90's. In 1998 we were formed by the Zephier brothers at a powwow in Bellingham Washington where we served as host drum. Though we proudly represent the Hunkpati Dakota Nation we consist of many different singers in the U.S and Canada. We have travelled throughout the U.S and Canada serving as host or invited for many powwow committee's.

We are proud and honored that we have been chosen to be a stepping stone for many young drum groups. We wish them the best of luck. We encourage everyone to learn and sing our songs, Aho Hecetu.
