Black Rain was born into a very musical family. Their fathers played in the country rock band Risky Biznez and their grandfather played the violin. Ryan and Jamie received a drum set and a guitar for Christmas when they were eight and five. The boys picked it up instantly with the help of their dad and uncles. They started off by jamming with their family in the garage, and then at the age of twelve and fifteen, received their first gig in the town of Big River.

Biography
The members of Black Rain are from the First Nation of Ahtahkakoop in Saskatchewan. The group is made up of Ryan Peekeekoot, Jamie Peekeekoot and Lenny Peekeekoot.
Black Rain was born into a very musical famil. Their fathers played in the country rock band Risky Biznez and their grandfather played the violin. Ryan and Jamie received a drum set and a guitar for Christmas when they were eight and five. The boys picked it up instantly with the help of their dad and uncles. They started off by jamming with their family in the garage, and then at the age of twelve and fifteen, received their first gig in the town of Big River.
As time went on, Ryan and Jamie started horn their musical talent and went out on their own. The band went through a couple of line-up changes, finally hiring their cousin Lenny in the spring of 97 on bass.
After many years of writing original music, in the Spring of 2003 Black Rain hit the studio to finally record their first CD “Rain Came Down” It was well received and played on many radio stations.
In the summer of 2006 Black Rain returned to the studio again to record their second CD "Hundred Dollar Hickey" with this CD they received a recording contract with Drumgroups.com
Black Rain performs on a regular basis on Saskatchewan club circuit. We hope you enjoy the new CD.
