In October of 2008, Brad (along with the musical group Coulée) had the privilege of being nominated for the “Western Canadian Music Awards” in Edmonton, Alberta for the “Best Francophone Album of the year”.

Biography

Brad Moggie is a 19-year-old fiddle player from St. Ambroise, Manitoba. Brad first began playing the fiddle at the age of 10, when a fiddling program was introduced at St. Laurent School.

Brad has played all over Manitoba and Canada including the major cities of the West Coast. His performances have included festivals, community fundraisers and concerts. In October of 2008, Brad (along with the musical group Coulée) had the privilege of being nominated for the “Western Canadian Music Awards” in Edmonton, Alberta for the “Best Francophone Album of the year”.

Brad’s influences over the years have included, Mark Morriseau, Cliff Maytwayashing, Darren Lavallee and the Dutiaume brothers. Brad’s major inspiration through his fiddle career has been his Dad, Barry Moggie, for introducing him to his first fiddle tape.
