Cecile Moosomin

Portrait of Cecile Moosomin

I would like to dedicate this album of the spiritual Maskiki Nungumoona (peyote songs) to all the women of yesterday, today and tomorrow. In honor of our generations before us, our Grandmothers. It has been a struggle through the trials and tribulations, yet we have overcome to express our visions as First Nation Women. I would also like to dedicate this album to my mother who is my life giver; without her and our life struggles, I would have not realized where I am today. And to my daughters who are my seeds of love for our generations to come. We all have come to a time of healing and our time for healing has come to pass.

Biography

I am a proud mother of five beautiful children of whom I owe my utmost gratitude. They have been my inspiration in all four way of the Great Medicine Wheel. Ever so gracefully, in dedication and acknowledgement to my spiritual influences from the Native American Church. You know who you are: you have been my strength when there was almost nothing left of me. You helped me strive for nothing but the best and helped me realize that there is no such thing as settling for less. You have lifted my spirit and have filled my cup of faith. Many blessings to all your families. May you all continue to walk in beauty with good health and happiness.
