Portrait of Chris Barker Band

The Chris Barker Band is a Metis Family band that formed in Dauphin, Manitoba in 2005. The band plays original country/ rock material on their first cd titled "Six String Highway". The name of the band came through deliberations with the boys' high steppin' Grandfather Stanley Flett. They came up with "Chris Barker Band" in paying tribute to Grandmother and Great Grandmother "Lizzie Barker" who nurtured the bands founder and manager Clifford Flett. It all started out as just having some fun jamming, to playing shows, to recording a CD! Through this process the CBB learned a lot about taking both of their influences in country and rock, and coming up with music that is style they love to play that can be enjoyed by a broad audience. The Chris Barker Band will get you up on your feet and keep you dancing all night long!
