Biography
ILL LOGIKAL is the man behind the hits, contributing greatly to the formation of the Native Hip Hop scene in Canada. Like a fine craftsman he uses his God-given tools and skill to chip away at the pieces until the true talent within the artist begins to take shape. Then he gives his trademark "Midas Touch" (as somehave called it) to produce the melodic and blockrocking hip-hop music he has become known for. He is responsible for founding and producing the well-known hip-hop group REDDNATION who went on receive a nomination for "Best Rap or Hip-Hop Album" for their debut album "Unstoppable" at the 2004 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards; going up against stiff competition and fellow colleagues Team Rezofficial (ILL is also a writer, having co wrote the Team Rezofficial biography).
Female emcee Eloquence formerly known as Chickadee MC is another artist who garnered national attention thanks to ILL's production and promotion efforts. Again, another debut album, this time "FLY" from Eloquence went on to receive a nomination in the "Best Rap or Hip-Hop" category at the 2005 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards. Other prominent artists he's helped establish are ANASAZ, PHENOM, and KIERA. Often referred to as the "Dr. Dre" of native hip-hop or "Chairman of the Boards", ILL's trademark pounding drums, searing synths, and catchy melodies easily make him one of the best producers in native hip-hop in North America today.
