Edward Gamblin

Portrait of Edward Gamblin

This northern legend of Aboriginal Country Rock music has been recording for over 22 years. With nine albums under his belt, his latest creation "Cree Road" was two years in the making and is making the charts with "You're My Everything" as his new release.

As a residential school survivor Edward has had plenty of life experiences to write and sing about. Combine this with a steady stream of cultural and tunes from the heart and you get a quality mix of fan favorites. A father and a husband, Edward looks at having his music help to heal by dealing with many issues facing First Nations people. By talking about the past and talking about a healthy positive future Edward through his music has been proactive in this endeavour.

With musical influences including John Fogerty and CCR, Van Morrison, Waylon Jennings, you can get the picture of where Edward's style has come from. His new album "Cree Road" released on Arbor Records of Winnipeg should propel this perennial Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards nominee to yet another series of nominations this fall of 2006. He is also looking forward to the new Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards also this fall to be held in Winnipeg.

Edward performs solo or with his four piece band "Cree Road" featuring lead guitarist "Joe Campbell". Edward is currently working on his first gospel album which is to be completed in spring of 2007.
