Biography

Jace Martin, is a 29 year old, singer, songwriter, actor and is a Mohawk from the Six Nations of the Grand River.

Jace, began his career at the age of 13, performing in Rainboworld written and directed by Canadian Jazz And Blues Legend, Salome Bey.

Rainboworld, was a musical that involved many performances around Toronto, Ontario, including an Ed Mirvish Birthday Bash performance, and an Ontario Place Performance, as well as nightly sold out performances of the play.

Jace, then moved back home from Toronto, and began auditioning... landing roles in over 20, TV shows, documentaries, movies, and radio shows...

At the age of 13, Jace, also began singing and performing with his older brothers who formed a blues band called, "The WolfPack".

Throughout the years, "The WolfPack" performed over 200 shows at many venues including, Toronto, Hamilton, Brantford, Simcoe, Kitchener, Caledonia, Hagersville, Barrie, Christian Island and Ottawa to name a few.

"The WolfPack" led by Jace Martin at vocals, began writing and released their debut album, "Every Lil Thing" in 2003 and were quickly nominated for, "Best Blues Album" and "Best Group" at the 5th Annual, Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards in Toronto, Ontario, where they eventually picked up their first award, winning the, "Best Blues Album" award.

Following the release of "Every Lil Thing", The WolfPack, performed for many TV shows including, REZ Bluez, CBC "A Tribute To Salome Bey", and many APTN Music Showcase Shows as well as performances not aired, such as, RezStock in Parry Sound featuring Derek Miller and George Leach, Canada's Wonderland, and The Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario.

The WolfPack also won APTN's Grand Prize,"Onstage" a nationwide talent contest voted on by the viewers out of thousands of artists across Canada and were runners up for Toronto Blues Society's "Best New Blues Artists" in 2005 and was ranked number 13 out of top 20 blues albums of the summer on their radio airplay rankings, right behind B.B King.

The Shows kept coming for The WolfPack, when they released their 2nd Album, "Blind Man River" in 2005 where they took home the prize for,"Best Group" at the CAMA Awards.

The Wolfpack released their 3rd album in 2006 called, "Family Thang" and took home, "Best Blues Album" again and was featured on Tom Jackson's, "Kanata" a musical TV Special which airs on CBC.

Their Third Album, was also nominated and runner-up for "Best Blues Album" at the 2006 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards.

Having worked with, Doyle Bomberry, The WolfPack and TruRez Crew and after releasing 6 albums in 6 years and winning 5 awards for four albums and being nominated for 8 in total, Jace Martin began writing for his upcoming Debut Solo Album...

Due out in 2008, the album is featuring a guest appearance by Canadian Rock Icon, and Juno award winning recording artist, Derek Miller...

Jace, just finished working on the movie "Shania" for sale now on DVD and airing on CBC.
