Biography

Priscilla's Revenge has been around since late 2004. The band has released two albums of original material in that time and is set to release a third album around or before the end of this year. The band has played many venues around Yellowknife and has also performed at The Great Northern Arts Festival in Inuvik, The Woodblock Festival in Fort Good Hope and the Canadian Aboriginal Music Festival In Toronto. At the CAMA awards in 2007, the band performed on the mainstage at the Rogers Centre.

Both of Priscilla's albums have been nominated for national awards, and the band has received national radio exposure on CBC's Saturday Night Blues. As well, the song That's What Ill Say from their second album reached #6 on the National Aboriginal Countdown.

This band has been performing for 4 and a one half years. Priscilla's Revenge has a core of three members. With our new albums material we may be including a horn section and a keyboard player.

Core group Norman Glowach - Drums and Vocals Greg Nasogaluak - Guitar Blair Brezinski - Bass and Vocals

Performance Highlights:

This band has performed for audiences of one to five thousand people. It is very consistent in its performances, no matter what the venue. We have performed in front of thousands of people at Rockin the Rocks 2007 with Hedley at the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Arctic Winter Games, mainstage at The 2007 Canadian Aboriginal Awards in Toronto and opening for Canadian rock legends Trooper in 2008.

We also perform acoustic versions of our songs and have played many venues in this formation. These include, The Great Northern Arts festival, Canadian Aboriginal Festival, Le Frolic and the After 8.

Two thirds of this band is aboriginal. We have performed with or shared the stage with many top Canadian and International aboriginal performers such as Leela Gilday, Billy Joe Green, Shane Yellowbird and Stevie Salas.

This band is the most prolific blues/rock writing ensemble in the North. Greg and Norm who have been writing together since 2002 have written close to 60 songs collectively in that time. Since Blair joined the band in 2004 we have released two nationally recognized albums and have material written for a third album, which we are currently recording. It will be released before the end of this year. As well as writing for Priscilla's Revenge the members also write tunes in other genres such as instrumentals, country and jazz.

Songwriting by the members of this band has started to draw attention from producers and performers worldwide. These include aboriginal folk/rock artist Laura Vinson, who has already released one of Norm's tunes, aboriginal country performer Shane Yellowbird and rock and blues producer Tony Braunagel for artists Taj Mahal, Eric Burden and many others. These artists are currently looking at some of the writing that this team has produced for their upcoming projects. Its only a matter of time before one of Priscilla's songs will recorded by a major artist.
