Quinton "Magwa" Tootoosis is a name that is synonymous with Northern Cree, Poundmaker, Saskatchewan world class round dance singing and hand drumming. This name has graced many a pow wow or round dance CD over the years, including Fly-In Eagle and Wildhorse, to name a few.

His debut CD, 'Singing for the People', released in 2008 has enjoyed enormous success. One of the songs "Jakobe" is posted up on YouTube, and boasts over 33,000 hits. Another song, "Snuggles and Cuddles" has over 37,000 hits.

Quinton Tootoosis Is from Poundmaker, SK and his parents are Shirley Tootoosis from Poundmaker and Harold McNabb from Peepeekesis, SK. His late grandfather and grandmother were John B. Tootoosis from Poundmaker and Louisa Angus from Thunderchild SK. John B. Tootoosis's grandfather was Yellowmudblanket, who was brother to the great Chief Poundmaker.

Quinton's grandfather used to sing to him and his brothers when they were infants. John B. sang mourning songs, sun dance songs and taught the boys hand games. As well, he taught them pow-wow songs in the original old style way of singing. Quinton has attended a vast majority of major pow-wows across Canada and the US, singing with a variety of different drum groups because of his ability to sing in both the original style and contemporary style for round dance and pow-wows. In the early 90's Quinton sang with his brothers who were called Little Hawk led by older brother Cornell Tootoosis and later went on with Fly-In-Eagle from Littlepine, SK led by Allen Bonaise. In 1998 Quinton sang with the Wild Horse singers from North Battleford SK, lead singer Boss Gardipy.
