Biography
Ron Loutit is one of a group of unknown Manitoban artist that has been writing and performing music for over 30 years. Ron is Manitoba born and raised. He comes from an Aboriginal background and a family of musicians and performers. He has spent the last 30 years writing "old school" country songs based on love, drinking and heartbreak.
His musical background is in guitar. He is an accomplished guitar player as well as a talented artist.
Ron spent the last 30 years writing and singing his songs only to his family and friends at get togethers and local fairs. It wasn't until a chance meeting with producer Jack Shapira that Ron was able to take his songs and make them into what he always hoped for ... a collection of music that would tell his stories, his life and his heartaches.
When the album was finished Ron thought all was done, but to his surprise, one of Canada's largest Aboriginal and Native Music labels, Arbor Records, was interested in signing him. Mine To Discover was released in August 2006. Ron will continue to tour and do what he loves most - ENTERTAIN!!
