Portrait of The Boyz

For two decades, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve celebrated, we’ve mourned. The Drum has been good to us. It has taken us to places we’ve only dreamed of and introduced us to people we’ve only heard of. It has brought people into our lives we now call mom, dad, uncle, brother, son, daughter, nephew, niece, sister,. We started with five young boys in the basement of a house and have since grown to a family from coast to coast.

Biography

For two decades, we’ve laughed, we’ve cried, we’ve celebrated, we’ve mourned. The Drum has been good to us. It has taken us to places we’ve only dreamed of and introduced us to people we’ve only heard of. It has brought people into our lives we now call mom, dad, uncle, brother, son, daughter, nephew, niece, sister,. We started with five young boys in the basement of a house and have since grown to a family from coast to coast.

As a group, a lot of faces have come and gone while some faces have remained the same. We will not forget the people along the way. Their offerings, their support, their words have taught us many lessons in life. The blood, sweat and tears of 20 years have made us who we are today.

Our first recording was on cassette and now we are in our 8th solo release and we are proud to say that every album has been special to us. It’s easy to record a cd and sell it. But if you don’t have the emotions, the feelings and take the time to produce something special, then the cd has no life. We are proud to say our records are a reflection of our lives and what we are going through at the time.

So we take this time to reflect and take a look back into the past of today’s TBZ. Each singer has taken their own unique path to where we are as a group. We all bring something special to the table. It includes our upbringings, our teachings, our talents, our experiences and most of all our personalities. It defines us as a group. It shows you who we are today, where we’ve been and who has grown to stay.
