Biography

The MOSQUITOZ are a high energy versatile " show band" based out of Winnipeg Manitoba. Playing a wide variety of musical genres; fiddle, country, country rock, golden oldies, music of the 70's, 80's & 90's and contemporary rock music, and not to mention their unique blend of all these genres into their original music that they consider an Alternative-Country-Pop-Rock sound.

The Mosquitoz are a fulltime hardworking band who consistently tour and play in Winnipeg, northern Manitoba and throughout Canada and have been working toward releasing a CD project for 2009. Their musical style and ethic reflect how they feel about the music they play and write. They want the people they play for to have great a time and above all bring the music to the people.

The Mosquitoz recorded the single " SHELTER ME" in 2005 and went on to win "Song of The Year" on the NCI FM radio network selected by the fans and listeners.

The current band members have many years of experience of touring and recording with other artists.

DARIN ANDERSON: Guitarist has played with such artists as Aaron Peters, Leanne Goose, and freelances with many other known musicians. Originally helped formed Troubadour in the mid 1990's with drummer Clint Anderson and Tim Cruly.

TIM CRULY: Guitarist/Piano has fronted for the bands, Troubadour, Reloaded, Freebird and Trapline.

LEROY CONSTANT: Bass. Leroy has played with established artists such as Tracy Bone, 100 Year Rising and Highway 373 to name a few.

SHAWN PARENTEAU: Drummer was one of the founding members of rock band Peacemaker, has also performed with Eagle & Hawk, C-weed, Keith Secola, Ernest Monias, just to name a few. He is a seasoned drummer and brings a lot of energy and experience to the stage.

Currently: The Mosquitoz are presently in studio recording an all original CD that has influences in country, pop and rock. Listen for their upcoming single "No Place to Go" released in June 2009 that will set the stage for a new fusion of music created by The Mosquitoz.
