The Westbrook Western Hour is a weekly radio program that feature live Aboriginal acts. The show is broadcast on NCIFM 105.5 to a radio audience in three provinces. Additionally, the program can be heard live on the worldwide web at www.ncifm.com .
The program is committed to showcasing and aiding First Nations, Metis and Inuit artists by providing maximum media exposure and employment 52 weeks out of the year !!
Performers on the show have included former Aboriginal People's Choice Music award winners and NCI FM Top 30 countdown artists. Aboriginal legends such as Ernest Monias and Fred Mitchell (Freebird Band) still make The Westbrook Western Hour a part of their traveling itinerary. The club also takes great pride in giving artists, in some instances, their first shot on the big stage and radio.
With listeners from such locales as Sante Fe, New Mexico, Sweden, Calgary , Alberta, the show has been a catalyst in the upswing for many acts schedules.
The show is sponsored by longtime Aboriginal music supporter The Westbrook Inn and is hosted by Aboriginal vocalist Derryl Sanderson.
